The invention provides a composition for colouring keratin fibres, more particularly human hair, which in a gel-form vehicle comprises at least one oxidation dye precursor, the gel-form vehicle of the colorant comprising at least one emulsifier combination comprising i) one or more nonionic, polyethoxylated emulsifiers (i), and ii) one or more polyethylene glycols (ii) and at least one polymeric thickener selected from homopolyers of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid and/or copolymers of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid with C1-C4 alkyl esters of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid. |
