An inkjet recording ink having safety, storage stability, stable discharge performance from a recording head, and printed matter drying properties is provided by dissolving an organic fluorescent pigment in an inkjet recording ink, and jointly using as a binder resin a vinyl chloride acetate resin and an acrylic resin containing methyl methacrylate and butyl methacrylate as component monomers. An ink cartridge is also provided. An inkjet recording ink including an organic fluorescent pigment, a pigment dispersing agent, an organic solvent, and a binder resin, wherein the organic fluorescent pigment is dissolved in the organic solvent, and a vinyl chloride acetate resin and an acrylic resin containing methyl methacrylate and butyl methacrylate as component monomers are jointly used as the binder resin; and an ink cartridge.
