<p>The present invention relates to a membrane filtration assembly for the fractionation of protein in dairy products, whereby significant energy savings are achieved by the use of a specially adapted filling body that promotes turbulence on the permeate side of the membrane tube. The present invention also relates to the use of such a filling body within the membrane filtration assembly.
