<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte with high cation transport number and an electrochemical device containing it as an electrolytic layer. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte is constituted with a lithium polymeric salt represented by a constitution shown in a general formula (1). In the formula (1), A<SP>1</SP>and A<SP>2</SP>independently represent a carbonyl group or a sulfonyl group, and R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are divalent organic groups. Further, the symbol n is a positive integer not smaller than two.
