<p>The method involves representing of a network in an outline view (1), in which the network with devices (4, 5) and network lines are schematically represented. Connections between the devices are represented in the outline view. The device (5) for representation in a detailed view (3) is selected by a user. The representation of the detailed view is activated for the selected device by the user, where all network interfaces (7) of the respective devices are represented in the detailed view.
