PURPOSE: A method for learning English is provided to improve English listening ability of a user by applying a phonic symbol to a sentence. CONSTITUTION: Script such as English movie, soap opera, news, or English listening test is selected. A vowel is distinguished by Schwa phenomenon and a syllable is expressed by weak sound. A last consonant of a strong syllable p, t, k is not stressed. Linking, insertion, omission and assimilation in relations between words are converted into a phonic symbol.
