The connector of the parent Specification is modified in that rearwardly extending lugs on adjacent contacts are staggered with respect to each other. In Figs. 1 and 3 lugs 6 on alternate contacts extend directly from the webs 5 between the contact legs 3, 4 and lugs 7 on the other contacts extend from vertical arms 8 extending upwardly from the webs 5 of these contacts. Alternatively the lugs 19, 20 may extend from the contact leg 3a, lugs 20 extending from vertical arms 21 on alternate contacts. The lugs in both embodiments are tapered to facilitate insertion in apertures in a printed circuit panel which it is desired to connect to a second panel inserted in the contacts of the connector. The circuit on the first panel may be dip-soldered to the lugs and such panel additionally secured to the connector by screws or rivets passing through tabs 17 or guides 14 at the sides of the connector.
