An adjustable carrying strap 1 suitable for carrying an umbrella comprises of a length of webbing material 4 attached to an upper strap 2 having Velcro RTM one both sides and a lower strap 7 having Velcro RTM on both sides. The upper strap 2 is suitable for attaching around an upper portion of a collapsed umbrella 17, and the lower strap 7 can be attached around the umbrella handle 18 such that an umbrella can be carried over the shoulder or across the body of a person when it is not being used. The strap 1 is preferably adjustable in length by means of sliding buckle 5. Additional buckles 21 may be attached to the upper and lower straps2, 7. A rubber grip portion (8, fig.10) may be formed over the inner hook portion of the lower strap 7 to aid the grip on the umbrella handle 18. |
