An apparatus and method for linking a received advertisement to a scheduling function in a portable terminal through a mobile communication system for providing an advertisement service is provided. The apparatus includes a terminal for registering personal information in an information registration server when using the advertisement service and an advertisement server for registering and managing an advertisement of a sponsor, collecting the personal information of the terminal, which is registered in the information registration server, classifying an advertisement to be transmitted to the terminal, and transmitting the classified advertisement, wherein the terminal registers the advertisement received from the advertisement server in a schedule function.
