<p>A tension device (1) for receiving and tensioning connecting means e.g. a strap (2) and a threaded rod (3) between at least two construction elements. The tension device (1) comprises two connected clamping plates (5, 6). Each clamping plate (5, 6) has a first end part (4) and a second end part (10). Said first end part (4) of the clamping plates (5, 6) has a number of apertures (8) adapted to receive fastening means (7). The apertures (8) of the two clamping plates (5, 6) are respectively in alignment of each other, and the clamping plates (5, 6) define a longitudinal axis (17) in the direction of the tension. The second end part (10) of each of the clamping plates (5, 6) is being provided with an opening (15). The openings (15) of the clamping plates (5, 6) are in alignment of each other and the opening (15) of each clamping plate defines a bridge section between the opening and the end of the clamping plate (5, 6) opposite the first end part (4). The tension device (1) further comprises a sleeve member (12) that has a first end collar (13) and a second end collar (14) and an intermediate swivel surface (22) delimited by the collars (13, 14). The bridge sections of the two clamping plates (5, 6) jointly form a tubular bearing member (11) substantially coaxial with the said longitudinal axis (17). Thereby, said tubular bearing member (11) is enclosing the sleeve member (12) between the collars (13, 14). A method for producing a tension device (1).
