PURPOSE: An optical printed circuit board and a manufacturing method of the same are provided to facilitate a laminating process by removing a gap difference of the thickness of an optical waveguide and to improve an optical loss property by exactly aligning the optical waveguide and a mirror when burying the optical waveguide. CONSTITUTION: An optical printed circuit board includes a first insulating layer (110), a circuit pattern(125), an optical waveguide(140), a first mirror, a second mirror, and a second insulating layer(150). An accepting groove is formed on the first insulating layer through a laser trench process or a precision cutting process. Both ends of the accepting groove are formed to have a fixed angle. The first mirror is formed in an end of the accepting groove, and the second mirror is formed in a different end of the accepting groove. The first and second mirrors are formed by laminating a metal layer in the ends of the accepting groove. The optical waveguide is formed in the accepting groove of the first insulating layer and is formed with a polymeric material having excellent light penetration and flexibility. The optical waveguide is buried by the second insulating layer. |
