<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency induction heating type waste asbestos melting furnace capable of positively preventing scattering or discharge of waste asbestos and detoxifying the waste asbestos by heat melting treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The waste asbestos melting furnace 1 has a crucible 2 of a conductive material disposed in a casing 3; a high frequency induction coil 5 wound around the outer peripheral region of the crucible; a high frequency power source part 50 connected to the coil; a molten slag discharge port 23 disposed in the bottom part of the crucible; a core 10 of a conductive material disposed in the discharge port; and a waste asbestos charging chamber 4 disposed at the upper part of the casing. The core has an enlarged head part 11 and a leg part 12 hanging from the head part. The waste asbestos W thrown into the crucible is turned into molten slag S by the heat generation of the crucible and core and flows out of the discharge port with a passage limited by the core. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
