A scald-proof balancing valve is associated with a dual-temperature ceramic valve 10 and comprises a fixed pipe 20 and spool 30. First 21 and second 22 ports of the fixed pipe 20 are set opposite to first 12 and second 13 lateral end walls of a housing (101, Fig. 2). The spool may slide in the fixed pipe 20, and hot 33 and cold 34 water slots of the spool are separated by a partition 35. The balancing valve comprises an asymmetric structure, such that if the dual-temperature ceramic valve 10 is switched to cold/hot water supply modes, and the hot water line is blocked to make the spool 30 abut the first lateral end wall 12 of the housing 101, a cold water channel is formed between the cold water opening 23 of the fixed pipe 20 and the second end 32 of the spool 30, to maintain normal cold water supply. |
