The housing (10) has a strain-relief cable-holding fixture arranged on an outside periphery for fixing a connecting cable (5) of a submarine vehicle (1), where the outside periphery surrounds a working space of a stern-mounted propeller (2) about a propeller axis (3). The cable-holding fixture comprises a drum-shaped housing portion whose periphery accommodates a circumferential winding (18) made by the connecting cable. The drum-shaped housing portion partially axially overlaps an axial clamp band that is secured to the housing by a clamping device i.e. attachment screw. The housing includes a tapered hydrofoil-like profiled ring at an inner periphery that surrounds the propeller. An independent claim is also included for a connection system.
