<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter for facilitating frequency management of a low frequency signal. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmitter includes: an optical modulator including a plurality of optical modulating parts comprising a Mach-Zehnder type modulator and a multiplexing part for multiplexing light beams output from the plurality of optical modulating parts; a random signal generating part for generating a random signal being a random signal for each optical modulating part, wherein a potential changes at random; a bias control part for outputting voltage obtained by superposing a signal having randomness to each optical modulating part on bias voltage to the optical modulating part toward the optical modulating part on the basis of the random signal; a demodulating part for determining the bias voltage that makes the light output strength of the optical modulating part closer to the maximum on the basis of the output strength of the light multiplexed by the multiplexing part and the random signal to each optical modulating part, wherein random signals to each optical modulating differ from one another. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
