<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor assembly for highly efficiently cooling an inverter, and a pump apparatus equipped with the motor assembly. <P>SOLUTION: This motor assembly includes: a motor 5 coupled to a pump 1; an inverter 6 fixed on the side of the motor 5 and having a cooling fin 18; a cooling fan 8 disposed between the motor 5 and the pump 1 and attached on a rotating shaft 10 of the motor 5; and a cover 7 for covering at least one part of the motor 5 and the cooling fan 8 and disposed via a gap with the motor 5.
