The method involves passing cleaning liquid into the lumen channel (8) of equipment. The supply of cleaning liquid is interrupted several times such that air is introduced into the channel so that cleaning fluid and air are alternately passed into the channel. An independent claim is included for device for cleaning narrow lumen channel of instrument.
