PURPOSE: A butterfly valve is provided to maintain airtightness even through the shape of a part where a seat ring and a disc ring are connected is not precise. CONSTITUTION: A butterfly valve comprises a valve body(10), a disc(20), a seat ring(30), and a disc ring(40). A passage is formed inside the valve body. A rotary shaft(22) of the disc is positioned on a vertical center part(a) of the lateral side of the valve body. The disc selectively opens and closes the passage of the valve body according to the rotation of the rotary shaft. The seat ring is connected to the inner circumference of the valve body. The disc ring is connected to the outer circumference of the disc and is contacted to the seat ring. The cross section of one of the seat ring and the disc ring is a U-shaped flexible ring. One side of the inner circumference or one side of the outer circumference of the other one is inclined. The seat ring and the disc ring have a retainer to support the U-shaped flexible ring. |
