<p>A metal annular casing 16 for a turbine engine compressor, the casing has at least one annular row of radial chimneys, for receiving outer cylindrical pivots of variable-pitch vanes, an outer continuous or interrupted cylindrical centring track 28 against which runners carried by an annular ring for controlling the pitch of the vanes are to come to bear, the casing being characterized by the track being formed by blocks 30 of a plastics material fitted onto the casing and fastened axially by one or two annular walls 34, 36. Preferably the blocks are secured to the casing by an adhesive or by an L-shaped wall 38. In another arrangement the blocks include an annular groove in which a taut cable is housed for clamping the blocks to the casing (Fig 6).</p> |
