A right angle attachment for a power tool, comprising a housing including a handle and a gear case attached to the handle; an input shaft extending through the handle; a first right angle gear rotatably mounted within the gear case and drivingly attached to said input shaft; a second right angle gear rotatably mounted within the gear case and meshingly engaged with said first right angle gear, said second right angle gear having a polygonal opening therein adapted for receiving a tool bit; and characterized in that the right angle attachment further comprises a magnet assembly for enhancing retention of a bit in the polygonal opening.
