PURPOSE: A four-pole earphone device for a portable terminal and the portable terminal having the same are provided to simply control volume and to cut manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A plug(210) connects a signal to a portable terminal. A microphone is connected to the plug and outputs a sound inputted from the outside to the portable terminal. A first line and a second line(240L,240R) are connected to the respective plug and input a left sound or a right sound regarding to the sound data outputted from the portable terminal. A first output unit and a second output unit(250L,250R) are connected to the first line or the second line and output the left sound or the right sound inputted by the first or second line as audible sound. A first volume control unit(260) is formed in between the first line or the first output unit and has a first key for one of increase or decrease of the sound data. A second volume control unit(270) is formed in between the second line or the second output unit and has the second key for the first key of increase or decrease of the sound data.
