PURPOSE: A display device and method are provided to display information for a channel which is inputted by the same identifier, thereby enabling the grasping of the information for the channel by using various methods without a separate channel search. CONSTITUTION: A receiving unit(110) receives a broadcast signal through a plurality of channels. A display unit(120) outputs the broadcast signal. A control unit(130) detects an identifier included in the broadcast signal and allows the identifier to display the information for the channel by controlling the display unit.
