PURPOSE: Regional advertisement providing method and system in a CATV are provided to increase adverting efficiency by providing regional advertisement suitable for a location of a subscriber and preference in every place in the country. CONSTITUTION: When a current location of a subscriber exists in a second region, a first CATV server(200) in a first region requests a preset subscriber preference classification information and regional advertisement information of a second region to a second CATV server(300) of the second region and receives the regional advertisement information classified by the subscriber preference classification information from the second CATV server.
