A projection type display device is provided to promote convenience of a user by turning on/off power of the projection type display device automatically. A projection type display device includes a beam generator, a first panel(110), a second panel(100), and a third panel(120). The beam generator is received on the first panel and outputs an image-processed beam. The first panel is coupled to the second panel. The second panel is slidably coupled to the first panel and powers on and off by sliding to the first panel. The third panel includes an external lens(125) and faces the external lens by the second panel sliding into the first panel. The external lens reflects the beam outside outputted from the beam generator. |
