PURPOSE: A power transmission device for a vehicle is provided to collect surplus outputs, to assist the output of an engine, and to improve the acceleration performance through torque multiplication operation. CONSTITUTION: A power transmission device comprises a clutch(2), a torsional damper(4), an output gear(6), a planetary gear set(PG), and a motor or generator(M/G). The clutch is arranged between the output shaft(OS) of an engine and a first rotation shaft(IS1) and controls the rotational power of the engine. The torsional damper is arranged between a first rotation shaft and a second rotation shaft(IS2) and reduces torsional operation in the initial operation of the clutch. The output gear is arranged in the second rotation shaft and transmits driving power of the second rotation shaft to a transmission(TM). The planetary gear set decelerates and outputs the rotation power inputted from the motor or generator. The motor or generator is selectively operated as a motor or a generator. |
