PURPOSE: A heater for a double boiler is provided to compensate water loss during a double boiling process with hot supplementary water, thereby maintaining constant heating conditions. CONSTITUTION: A heater for a double boiler comprises a main heating case(110), a supplementary water container(150), a supplementary water supply pipe(160), and a supplementary water supply control unit(180). The supplementary water container heats stored supplementary water with the heat produced in the main heating case. The supplementary water supply pipe supplies the supplementary water stored in the supplementary water container to the main heating case. The supplementary water supply control unit opens and closes the supplementary water supply pipe to maintain the water level of the main heating case within a set range.
