A method for transmitting signals by using a space time code is provided to be capable of maintaining strong performance even in case of a type of a channel code, a coding ratio, change of length and a channel state, while an amount of feedback information can be reduced according to various channel conditions. A channel estimator(207) of a receiver estimates a channel value by a wireless channel with the use of a preset reference signal. The estimated channel value is inputted to a space time coder(205). The coder performs a space time coding process by using the estimated channel value. The performed results are outputted to a channel decoder(206). The channel decoder outputs information bits prior to channel coding by conducting a channel decoding process. An SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) calculator(208) measures an SNR of a receiving signal by using the receiving signal, and transmits feedback information for a transmission device to the transmission device. |
