PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a manufacturing method thereof are provide to extend and form a color filter which corresponds to each sub pixel area to an adjacent sub pixel area, thereby satisfying a chromaticity coordinate value of the ITU-R BT.709. CONSTITUTION: First and second substrates(21,22) define a plurality of sub pixel areas. A plurality of color filters(44) are formed in one of the first and second substrates, and are located in the plurality of sub pixel areas. At least one of the color filters is extended to an adjacent sub pixel area among the plurality of sub pixel areas, thereby having an occupied area in the adjacent sub pixel area. |
