A mobile terminal and a method for processing calls therein are provided to offer various call functions by performing call processing according to priority when an incoming call collides an outgoing call and to prevent a call attempt from being interrupted by a collision with an incoming call in case that a user attempts an important call. Receiving an alert message, which indicates that an incoming call has been received, from a base station, a control part, before outputting a bell sound or vibration through an output part, first confirms whether the user has attempted an outgoing call(S201-S203). In case that the incoming call collides with the outgoing call as the outgoing call has been attempted(S204), the control part checks whether either the phone number of the outgoing call or the phone number of the incoming call is matched with a preset preferred phone number(S205). If so, the control part gives priority to the call of a phone number matched with the preferred phone number and processes the priority call(S206-S208). |
