PURPOSE: A vehicle management device and a method thereof using an RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) is provided to easily understand a parking position of a vehicle by transmitting position information of a detected vehicle using an RFID tag signal to a communication terminal of an owner of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle management device(100) using an RFID includes an RFID reader unit(110), a position detection unit(120), a parking judgment unit(130), a storage unit(140), a parking lot detection unit, a parking fee calculation unit(160) and a communication unit(170). The RFID reader unit consists of more than one RFID reader and receives an RFID tag signal transmitted from an RFID tag installed in a vehicle. The position detection unit detects a current position of a vehicle based on the received RFID tag signal. The parking judgment unit judges a parking state of a vehicle based on a state of RFID tag signal reception and the current position of the vehicle. The storage unit stores the current position from the location detection unit as a parking position of the vehicle if the state is judged as parking. The parking fee calculation unit calculates a parking fee. The communication unit transmits the parking position of the vehicle to a communication terminal.
