A method and apparatus for replacing a bridge using pre-cast materials, including steel plies, steel reinforced concrete caps, and metallic male and female connectors. The pre-cast materials can be formed to precise standards in a controlled factory environment before being brought to the worksite for the bridge replacement project. Further, the male and female connectors provide for a quick and robust way to connect the caps to the piles without the use of welding between the piles and the caps.
