<p>An overheating prevention apparatus for a scroll compressor is provided to rapidly detect the overheating operation in case of occurrence of the overheating and to prevent the scroll compressor from being damaged effectively. An overheating prevention apparatus for a scroll compressor comprises a case(110) having an airtight space, which is partitioned into a suction space(112) defining a low pressure section and an exhaust space(113) defining a high pressure section, a driving motor(120), a fixed scroll(130) installed on the airtight space of the case, an orbiting scroll(140), an airtight chamber(161), and an overloading interrupter(162). The orbiting scroll pivots according to the driving force of the driving motor and is formed with an orbiting lap(132) such that the orbiting scroll is engaged with the fixed lap of the fixed scroll to define a compression chamber(P).</p> |
