PURPOSE: The knob assembly structure of a gearshift for a vehicle is provided to conveniently perform an exchange work of a knob by easily detaching a retainer from a knob. CONSTITUTION: A knob assembly structure of a gearshift comprises a knob (10) and a retainer (20). The knob comprises a fastening unit in the lower part, a fastening hole (12) in the side part of the fastening unit, and an inclined surface along the side direction of the fastening hole. The retainer is connected to the lower part of the knob and comprises a fastening piece (22) in the side part corresponding to the fastening hole. If the fastening unit of the knob is inserted into the retainer, the fastening piece is elastically changed in order to be inserted into the fastening hole so that the knob and the retainer are connected. If the retainer is rotated along the inclined surface, the fastening piece is separated from the fastening hole so that the knob and the retainer are separated.
