PURPOSE: A galvanized steel sheet having excellent plating properties and plating adhesion properties and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent direct contact of the plating layer with the oxides of Si, Mn, and Al which are plating retarding elements even in plating, thereby improving the properties of plating. CONSTITUTION: A galvanized steel sheet having excellent plating properties includes a substrate steel sheet(1), multiple concavo-convex parts, and a plating layer(3). The concavo-convex parts are formed on the surface of the substrate steel sheet. The plating layer is formed on the substrate steel sheet on which the concavo-convex parts are formed. A total area occupied by the concave parts of the concavo-convex parts is 50-95% of the area of the substrate steel sheet. The variation of Gibbs energy per one mole of oxygen in the oxidation reaction of metal in the convex part of the concavo-convex part is over the variation of Gibbs energy per one mole of oxygen in the oxidation reaction of Mn.
