A communication terminal and a method for setting a background screen image of a communication terminal are provided to solve a problem that, when a user listens to a radio program, a still image together with voice information is displayed for a certain time, so the user has no choice but to view the screen for the certain time. A receiving unit(100) receives a broadcast signal. When an audio broadcast signal of the broadcast signal is outputted, a controller(150) controls to display at least one pre-set image file. A display unit(140) displays the image file on a screen under the control of the controller. A memory(120) stores the image file to be displayed when the broadcast signal received from the receiving unit is outputted as an audio broadcast signal. |
