摘要 Disclosed is a glass plate which has, at the time of being manufactured by a down-draw method, the glass surface strengthened to a certain extent that the processing efficiency after the glass formation is not affected and the glass surface is not easily scratched. The glass plate has a tensile stress layer formed inside of the glass plate, and compression stress layers formed on both the sides of the tensile stress layer. The compression stress layers are formed within a depth range of 10-50 µm in the thickness direction of the glass plate from the surface of the glass plate, and the thickness of the compression stress layers is less than a thirteenth part of the thickness of the glass plate. The absolute value of the stress value of the compression stress layers is 4 MPa or less, and the absolute value of the stress value of the tensile stress layer is 0.4 MPa or less.
