<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which reduces driving voltage and has preferable display quality. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display includes: a first substrate 101 including a pixel electrode PE including a plurality of comb pixel electrodes PEA, a common electrode CE including a plurality of comb common electrodes CEA arranged between the plurality of comb pixel electrodes PEA such that predetermined spaces are formed between the plurality of comb pixel electrodes PEA and the plurality of comb common electrodes CEA, and a recess 200 formed between and along the comb pixel electrode PEA and the comb common electrode CEA; a second substrate 102 opposing the first substrate 101; and a liquid crystal layer LQ held between the first substrate 101 and the second substrate 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
