<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooker which is sanitary and can save power with a reduced cost. <P>SOLUTION: The cooker 1 includes: a heating chamber 4 for housing a cooking material; a detachable water tank 10; a water supply path 11 connected to the water tank; an evaporation container 14 which receives water supply from the water tank 10 through the water supply path 11; and a steam generation heater 15 for evaporating water in the evaporation container 14 by heating, and performs cooking while supplying the steam generated in the evaporation container 14 to the heating chamber 4.
