PURPOSE: A pouch type secondary battery is provided to obtain excellent stability by easily discharging gas generated in a secondary battery to a specific direction. CONSTITUTION: A pouch type secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly(100); an electrode tab(200) which is formed by being extended from the electrode assembly; a pouch(300) which accommodates the electrode assembly; a sealing part(400) which has a plurality of sides with different thicknesses, and seals the electrode tab with the pouch. The thickness of the first sealing side(410) contacted to the electrode tab is smaller than thicknesses of other sides except for the first sealing side. Region between the electrode tabs, in the first sealing side, has a structure(415) sank toward the electrode assembly.
