METHOD FOR IMPROVING DURABILITY OF GROUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground-improving method that can permanently maintain an improvement effect by using low cost silica-based grout.

SOLUTION: Ground improvement is performed by injecting silica injection liquid that is formulated to have a change in strength so that a desired improvement of strength is obtained. The following method is taken for improving ground. (1)Set a desired durable period(n). (2)Set a desired strength that has to be kept until the desired durable period(n) ends. (3)Measure how the strength can change with time by using soil gathered at a job site or sample sand. (4)Set a strength change ratio until the desired durable period(n) ends. (5)Set initial standard strength to meet the desired strength considering the strength change ratio. (6)Design a safety ratio to be achieved at site work. (7)Identify formulation that can satisfy the desired strength in the injected ground considering the initial strength as well as the safety ratio.
