<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology easily matching the center of a worm gear with the center of a shaft member. <P>SOLUTION: This worm gear mechanism 60 includes a worm 62, and a worm wheel 63 engaged with the worm 62 and also mounted on the shaft member 24. The shaft member 24 has a wheel press-fit part 24a and a serration 24b which are located adjacently to each other in a shaft longitudinal direction. The worm wheel 63 is composed of a hub 64 positioned at the center, an extension part 65 extending in a radially outward direction from the hub 64, and a gear part 66 provided at the end of the extension part 65. The hub 64 has a first press-fit hole 68 pressure fitted around the wheel press-fit part 24a, and a second press-fit hole 69 pressure-fitted around the outer peripheral surface of the serration 24b.
