<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify an unbalance position of laundry in a rotational axis of a drum without causing an increase in cost and a decrease in reliability of a whole drum-type washing machine. <P>SOLUTION: A drum-type washing machine including: a drum 19 rotatable around a rotational axis extending in a lateral direction; a water tub equipped with the drum 19 therein; a rotational motor for rotating the drum 19 in accordance with an instruction voltage; and a rotation-detecting unit for detecting a rotational speed of the rotational motor, comprises a control unit for executing speed change control for changing the instruction voltage of the rotational motor to a plurality types of voltages within a voltage range causing the rotational speed of the rotational motor to be slower than a speed causing resonance at the rotational speed of the rotational motor and to be a speed causing laundry 31 to be attracted to the drum 19, while the laundry 31 is stored in the drum 19, specifies a peak rotational speed at the time when an energy-absorbing value becomes maximum within the voltage range, on the basis of the detected rotational speed by the rotation-detecting unit during the speed change control, and specifies an unbalance position of the laundry 31 in a rotational axis direction of the drum 19 on the basis of the peak rotational speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
