<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bolted flange connections for limiting transmitted loads during unbalanced events in turbomachinery. <P>SOLUTION: First and second flanges 146, 147 bolted together include bolt 160 passing through a first bolt hole 158 and a second hole 168. The bolt 160 includes a bolt head 170, a thread part 174 and a shank 172. A crushable spacer is disposed in a plurality of first bolts 180, contacts the bolt head and the first flange 146 and axially extends. A bush 192 is disposed in a plurality of second bolts 194, contacts a bolt head 170 and the second flange 147 and axially extends. A shank outer diameter SD can be made smaller than a thread diameter TD, and a heat shrinkage tube body can be disposed on the bolt shank of the spacer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
