METHOD FOR PRODUCING GLASS SUBSTRATE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SOLAR CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a glass substrate in which the size of recesses formed in the plane is approximately uniform and which has excellent reproducibility.

SOLUTION: The method for producing a glass substrate includes: a step S1 for preparing a glass plate containing K or Na; an ion exchange step S2 for forming a layer substituted with Li and having cracks on its surface by replacing K or Na in the glass plate with Li; and an etching step S3 for expanding the size of each crack formed in the layer substituted with Li by etching the glass plate.
