<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electric discharge machine capable of reliably releasing shortcircuit between a wire electrode and a workpiece. <P>SOLUTION: The wire electric discharge machine 1 performing discharge working of a workpiece 3 by inserting a wire electrode 2 in a prepared hole 4 formed in a workpiece 3 includes a shortcircuit detecting device 57 detecting short circuit between the electrode 2 and the workpiece 3, and a shortcircuit releasing system including an up and down device 30 and the like separating the wire electrode 2 and the workpiece 3 in the prepared hole 4 to release short circuit by vibrating the wire electrode 2 when the shortcircuit is detected by the shortcircuit detecting device 57 in such a state that the wire electrode 2 is inserted in the prepared hole 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
