<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter capable of reducing power consumption in the transmission processing, by reducing the throughput of inverse Fourier transform processing by a novel method. <P>SOLUTION: In a transmitter 10, a symmetry determination unit 12 determines whether or not two symbols corresponding to first data and second data mapped to two carriers existing at positions symmetrical with respect to the center carrier of a carrier group exist at positions symmetrical with respect to one of the I axis and Q axis in the constellation. When a determination is made in the symmetry determination unit 12 that two symbols exist at positions symmetrical with respect to one of the I axis and Q axis, a reverse Fourier transform unit 13 performs reverse Fourier transform processing only on one of the I component and Q component, for the first data and second data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
