<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a large amount of pattern retardation films in a more accurate and efficient manner, which are used for three-dimensional display employing a passive system. <P>SOLUTION: An orientation angle of a retardation layer relative to a rubbing direction and a polishing direction is measured from a previous measurement (SP2-SP3-SP4), and the rubbing direction and the polishing direction are corrected so that a variation in the orientation angle relative to the rubbing direction and the polishing direction can be corrected on the basis of the measurement result, and thereby producing a mold for manufacturing a pattern retardation film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
