PURPOSE: A novel organic compound and an organic electroluminescent device using the same are provided to improve thermal stability, driving voltage, and lifetime. CONSTITUTION: A novel organic compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. An organic electroluminescent device comprises an anode, a cathode and one or more organic layers inserted between the anode and cathode. The organic layer contains the organic compounds. The organic layer includes a light emitting layer, electron transport layer, electron injection layer, hole injection layer, or hole transport layer. The compound of chemical formula 1 is a phosphorescence host material or fluorescence host material. |
