PURPOSE: A dual chamber side airbag device for a vehicle is provided to maximally reduce injuries of a passenger by pressurizing a first chamber to an inner side with a second chamber when spreading an airbag to move an upper body of the passenger to be far from a point in which an accident occurs. CONSTITUTION: A dual chamber side airbag device for a vehicle comprises an inflator(10), an airbag cushion(20), and a tether(30). The airbag cushion includes a first chamber(21) and a second chamber(22). The airbag cushion is fixed to one side of a seat back frame(1a) in the outside facing a door trim with the inflator. One end of the tether is fixed to the seat back frame surrounding the first chamber and the other end provides the direction to spread the first chamber to an upper body of a passenger(4) by being sealed to the airbag cushion in the border of the first and second chambers.
