PURPOSE: An optical pickup and an optical information storage medium system applying the same are provided to prevent the overlap of a light reception pattern of an optical detector by controlling light reception rates. CONSTITUTION: An optical pickup device includes a light source emitting first light and second light. The optical pickup device comprises a light source(11), a large size lens(30), a collimating lens(16), and a detection lens(15). The collimating lens emits light outputted from the light source to the large size lens. The detection lens receives light reflected by the optical detector.
